A partnership with Linwood Elementary School to replace their track
- One of the most successful partnerships in the history of the grant
program occurred in Linwood. The neighborhood partnered with the school to
provide a significant amount of funding that was matched by fundraisers that
the students, parents, teachers, and others worked very hard to coordinate.
It was a great example of how the grant funding can be used as seed money to
motivate others to volunteer and help to raise additional funding.
Support of Milwaukie Museum - Linwood recently donated a portion of
its grant funding to help the Museum replace its roof. Six of the seven
neighborhoods contributed to this effort, which reveals the value of the
grant program when the neighborhoods work together to accomplish a citywide
goal.
Support of summer celebration - Linwood annually donates both
funding and volunteer hours to ensure that the summertime festival is a
success.
Bylaws: Linwood operates under a set of bylaws that all neighborhoods
in Milwaukie must abide by. The bylaws contain information about membership,
