The long-awaited reconstruction of King Road from 43rd Avenue to Hollywood
Avenue will begin on Tuesday July 22, 2008.
The $800,000 project is being funded through the Street Surface Maintenance
Program Council implemented in January of ’07.
The project covers three-quarters of a mile and will include a complete
reconstruction of King Road from the sub base up, from curb to curb. Water
quality upgrades to the existing storm system are also associated with the
project.
The contractor, Knife River, will maintain at least one open lane during
construction. Delays through this area are expected and motorists, bicyclists,
and pedestrians are encouraged to consider alternate routes during construction.
The project is expected to be completed by Sept. 1, 2008.
